Use case · Concrete & heavy debris

Concrete dumpsters sized for the haul.

Driveway tear-out, patio demo, sidewalk replacement, foundation work. Concrete is the heaviest material we haul — sizing matters more here than any other use case.

FIG. 01 · CONCRETE & HEAVY DEBRISKCMO
Planning the day

A concrete & heavy debris that doesn't ruin your weekend.

A cubic yard of broken concrete weighs about 4,000 lbs. The math determines the dumpster.

01

Sort before we drop.

The day the dumpster arrives is not the day you want to be deciding what stays. Spending an evening pre-sorting cuts the actual loading time roughly in half.

02

Load heavy on the bottom.

Counterintuitive but true: load the dense stuff (busted furniture, full boxes) at the rear and bottom. You'll fit roughly 20% more in the same dumpster.

03

Know what can't go in.

The big restricted list: tires, paint, batteries, refrigerators with freon, hazardous liquids. Full list of what goes in and what doesn't.

04

Plan for one weight check.

Loads under the included tonnage are flat-rate. If you're heavy on dirt, concrete, or roofing shingles, you'll likely tip into an overage. We call you with the weight before billing — no surprise invoice.

Permits + placement

On your driveway: no permit. On the street: we'll help.

Driveway placement is the default and the simplest path. If the only spot is the street — narrow lot, condo, or alley-only access — KCMO requires a right-of-way permit. We've filed plenty.

Protecting concrete

Boards down. Every time.

Our drivers lay down 2x12 lumber under the dumpster's roll wheels before they kiss the concrete. It protects the driveway from scratches, indents, and the rust marks that come from steel sitting in summer rain.
